Crop Walk

Description

Each year, some 2,000 communities across the U.S. sponsor CROP WALKS. Every spring, the St. Ambrose Parish Community is invited to join with fellow churches from the NorthEast Area Ecumenical Group in participating in the area's CROP WALK. The 2006 CROPWALK will be held on Sunday May 7th..

This year CROP WALKS will share more than $3.5 million with food banks, pantries, community gardens, and other local efforts nationwide. This support is made possible when local CROP WALKS choose our unique option of returning up to 25 percent of what their CROP WALK raises to hunger-fighting programs in their own community.

Walkers traverse a mapped out route throughout the area churches' neighborhood approximately 6k in distance or you can opt to travel the "Golden" mile. Money is raised by taking pledges or outright donations.
